First edit, "Fire"
Single Photo #2
After careful consideration, I decided to explore further this photo of fire burning. I felt that it would convey a stronger meaning if I was able to capture the movement and color of the fire via still images. I plan on first focusing on the wood, sediment, ash, and matches, and then slowly building up the the flame itself. From there, I will attempt to make the fire "burn" using only stills. I chose fire because it relates to part of the theme of "life vs. death and near death experiences" in the sense that it is an icon for hell. It is composed the way it is because of my limitations of using a dutch angle.

Single Photo
I chose this image because it tickled my fancy. I liked the way the light reflected off of the water and I want to explore that further. I also want to explore the open end of the pipe since it ties into the theme of what I plan on doing for my final film. I think there are also possibilities of exploring the surrounding rocks within the image but most of the exploration will be with the water reflecting and the darkness of the pipe. I composed this the way I did because it followed my limitations of using a dutch angle and to film things circular in nature.
